language for individual or small group sessions. We cater to the sign language
instructional needs of parents, caregivers, educators, therapists, family support
groups, and healthcare workers. We also designed instruction for families and educators
who live or work with children with special needs such as autism, cognitive delays,
speech and language delays or tracheotomy tubes. Of course we offer ASL classes to
families or individuals who want to learn American Sign Language (ASL), too!

Please note that ASL is not Baby Sign Language and Baby Sign Language is paired with spoken English and is used to enhance speech and language development. ASL is the language used in the United States among the deaf community and is not based on English word order. SIGNING FAMILIES offers classes for both BABY SIGN and ASL. You choose which class fits your needs.
Additional Comments: Louise Sattler is a multi-lingual Nationally Certified School Psychologist who has worked within the deaf communities and in the fields of special education and linguistics for more than 20 years. She has taught sign language to families, educators, healthcare workers, business personnel and more. She loves to teach families how to sign so that communication between parent and child is easier within the home!
Louise also has a strong commitment to help families and those working with individuals with special needs.
Louise is the creator of the new DVD- BABY,TODDLER, PRESCHOOL SIGN LANGUAGE , Presented by Louise Sattler and Friends. This DVD was made for those who want to learn and/or teach young children sign language in order to enhance English verbal skills. Also, the DVD includes bonus features such as the ABCs, Numbers 1-10 and Signing with spoken Spanish words! The DVD is perfect for families, educators and those who want to help promote language in young children and those with special needs!
