Carson's First Signs

My wife and I are caregivers to our grandson, Carson. He recently celebrated his first birthday.
We started signing to him when he was around 9 months old. His first word was "fan", which he signed at eleven months old.
Now when he comes in the front door, he makes the sign for "fan" and watches for us to turn the ceiling fan on.
Since then he has learned "more", "cookie", "tree", "shoes", "up", and recently "cold". The more he learns, the quicker he learns.
It is definitely worth the effort to teach him, and even if it seems like your baby isn't getting it, please keep it up...You will be rewarded!
