Eat! (Signing With Our Grandson)

As I started to teach my little grandson, Morgan, some basic signs I wondered if he was really understanding any of it.

He had started teething & not wanting to eat. Because of this, we had a hard time trying to get regular meal times, & knowing if he was hungry or not.

One day I was working in my kitchen, Morgan came up & signed eat to let me know he was hungry & ready to eat!

I was absolutely delighted! It was the first time he ever signed anything on his own & let me know that he is understanding.

It was also great to be able to help him & know what he wanted when he wasn't speaking hardly at all at that time. This happened about six months ago.
