Can ASL "two-handed" signs be signed with one hand?
by: Catherine

PLEASE ANSWER THIS ONE, MAMA SIGNS!!!!

I so often have my grandson in my arms that even if I could figure out how to do it with both hands, it most likely wouldn't be anywhere in the vicinity of his eyes (all the better to see it with!).

Especially important words like "hurt" or "help", etc. ~ This is just proof-positive that the language was primarily developed by men~ 'cause women wouldn't make it so difficult for themselves and their children~ and the men wouldn't think of it!

But really, I need a one handed sign for "hurt?" (Are you hurt? "Where" is already one-handed) and "help?" (Do you need? or can I help?). And anything else you think it might be necessary to say one-handed when you've got your arms "full."

Thanks so much
