Baby Signing - How to sign the word Hungry


Hungry is of course a great sign for baby to learn and know. Baby may also use the sign ‘eat’ instead of using the sign ‘hungry’, but as long as you understand is what’s important!

In forming the sign for hungry, you use one hand (your dominant hand), which is first shaped as if you are holding a cup. Using this handshape, you then want to take this hand and touch your upper chest area, palm facing inward towards your chest. You then simply slide this entire handshape downward toward the belly.
