How to Sign the word Telephone

One of the cutest sights are seeing babies playing with telephones. What’s great about this sign is not only can baby request which toy she wants to play with, but this sign can work in a ‘conversational’ mode. Baby can bring up ‘telephones’ when seeing Daddy’s cell phone, auntie’s cordless, telephones in their board books, etc.

This sign is made with the manual letter ‘y’ handshape. (Not familiar with this handshape? Please see American Sign Language manual alphabet)

It does sort of look like a phone, doesn’t it?
